Since March 2018, only the e-Visa allows one or more entries to the Sultanate of Oman. The classic visa is no longer issued by the Omani Embassy or on arrival in the country. It is not a request for authorisation to obtain an Omani visa on the spot buta real electronic visa issued by the Royal Oman Police, which will be issued to you online and which you will have to present on boarding and on arrival in Oman.

Each day beyond that is subject to a fine of 10 OMR(OMR 10) / day and prosecution.

For travel to Oman, it is mandatory to obtain a visa . The single or multiple-entryOman e-Visa offers stays of up to 30 days for tourism only. For transit, it is also possible to apply for an Oman e-Visa. As of 21 March 2018, only the e-Visa allows entry into the Sultanate of Oman for tourism purposes. The "classic" visa is no longer issued by the embassies, in order to reduce waiting times at the representations and airports.
We advise you to submit your application about 3 days before your arrival in Oman. Please note that once you have submitted your application, you have 33 days to enter Oman !
All Omani immigration crossing points (air, sea or land) are eligible for the Omani e-visa. Since the end of 2020 and the Covid-19 crisis, several European nationalities can travel to Oman without a visa for short stays.
